The Leaders in Law awards program honors legal professionals – lawyers and general counsels – whose dedication to their occupation and to their communities is outstanding. Justin has catapulted his Red Bank, NJ-based firm to one of the leading franchise law firms in the US. His practice focuses on all things franchise, having quarterbacked hundreds of millions of dollars of transactions and counseled on some of the most prominent franchise litigation matters.
Justin was born and raised in NJ, and many of his clients are based in NJ, some of which he has helped to franchise their emerging brands into successful multi-unit networks throughout the US.
As a community leader, he has dedicated substantial time supporting various organizations throughout NJ. Over the last two decades, he has coached various youth sports including: AYF Football, soccer, basketball, and baseball. He supports many local and national charities including No Kid Hungry, Stomp the Monster, Friendship Circle, and Leukemia Lymphoma Society.
In 2011, in response to Justin’s wife being diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, Justin and his family started Smiles4Shira, a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization that raises awareness for people in need of stem cell or bone marrow transplants, to help increase the amount of people that “swab” to become a part of the National Registry so no one in need will have to wait for their life saving match. And, spreading smiles by saving people’s lives.
To date, Smiles4Shira has helped add more than ten thousand individuals to the National Registry, achieved almost 200 matches, and helped facilitate dozens of bone marrow transplants. Smiles4Shira works closely with other national organizations, such as Gift of Life and Delete Blood Cancer and Justin helps to facilitate swabbing events, educational platforms, and financial support as well.
